Excellence Mission:

  • Quality Patient Care
  • Training & Education
  • Leading Research
  • Community Service

Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is one of just five Level I Trauma Centers in Los Angeles County, and the only such Center in the South Bay.  The campus is a focal point for healthcare services with over 700,000 residents in the greater South Bay catchment area.  For nearly seventy years, the hospital has provided high-quality healthcare to patients regardless of ability to pay.

The Harbor-UCLA campus provides care for a diverse and dynamic population that represents a global community.  This unique intersection of cosmopolitan culture affords the opportunity to participate in a leading-ege training program that reaches out to the world.  Education at all levels and venues emphasizes problem solving in the context of excellent patient care and safety, ethics, preventive medicine, and scientific inquiry.
