Excellence Mission:
Dr. Lin is a Faculty member of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and an infectious diseases researcher at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She received her Ph.D. degree in Immunology from the Tokyo Medical and Dental University in Japan. At Harbor-UCLA, she has focused on developing vaccines and immunotherapies for life-threatening infections, using complementary tools in immunology, cell biology, molecular biology and microbiology. Dr. Lin has been working with high-priority bacterial and fungal pathogens, including those most extensively antibiotic resistant (e.g. Acinetobacter baumannii, KPC- and NDM1-expressing Klebsiella pneumoniae). She has published over 20 peer-reviewed research papers, is Co-Investigator on multiple NIH grants, and was awarded a young investigator research grant from LABioMed at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Lin is a co-inventor on 3 submitted patents in the last three years.
